The Upali Sutta Part Two

Bhante Gunaratana

The Buddha convinces Upali, one of the main lay disciples of Nigantha Nattaputta, of the supreme importance of intention in relation to speech and action. The great compassion of the Buddha is shown when he instructs Upali to continue to support the Niganthas with food and other requisites even though Upali has taken refuge in the Buddha.
