"Whatever grounds there are for making merit productive of a future birth, all these do not equal a sixteenth part of the liberation of mind by loving-kindness. The liberation of mind by loving-kindness surpasses them and shines forth, bright and brilliant.”

Year End Retreat Part II

Tuesday, December 25 to Tuesday, January 1, 2013
(6 nights)

Register

Level: Intermediate
What does Intermediate mean?

Teacher: Monastic Community

To ensure the undisturbed quality of the retreat, participation is limited to experienced Bhavana meditators only. You should have completed one seven-day retreat at Bhavana (or longer) to register for this retreat.  Please note on your registration in “Special Needs” the title, date and year of this completed Bhavana retreat (seven days or longer).  Open for dedicated retreatants to observe the year’s end. In order for the retreat to run smoothly, retreatants will be expected to bring their mindfulness practice into daily life by doing daily jobs, as is done on regular meditation retreats at Bhavana. This will be a completely silent retreat with a few limited interviews with our monastic community.  There will be no Dhamma talks or question and answer periods during these intensive silent year-end retreats.  Participants may attend part 1, 2 or both.

All retreats begin between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm on the first day. Please arrive to allow enough time to complete registration here and settle in before the retreat begins. All retreats end after lunch on the last day.
Although every retreat is slightly different here is a typical retreat daily schedule.
