"This is the entire spiritual life, Ananda, that is, good friendship, good companionship, good comradeship. When a monk has a good friend, a good companion, a good comrade, it is to be expected that he will develop and cultivate the Noble Eightfold Path.”

Year End Retreat Part I

Sunday, December 16 to Sunday, December 23, 2012
(7 nights)

Register

Level: Intermediate
What does Intermediate mean?

Teacher: Monastic Community

To ensure the undisturbed quality of the retreat, participation is limited to experienced Bhavana meditators only. You should have completed one seven-day retreat at Bhavana (or longer) to register for this retreat.  Please note on your registration in “Special Needs” the title, date and year of this completed Bhavana retreat (seven days or longer).  Open for dedicated retreatants to observe the year’s end. In order for the retreat to run smoothly, retreatants will be expected to bring their mindfulness practice into daily life by doing daily jobs, as is done on regular meditation retreats at Bhavana. This will be a completely silent retreat with a few limited interviews with our monastic community.  There will be no Dhamma talks or question and answer periods during these intensive silent year-end retreats.  Participants may attend part 1, 2 or both.

All retreats begin between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm on the first day. Please arrive to allow enough time to complete registration here and settle in before the retreat begins. All retreats end after lunch on the last day.
Although every retreat is slightly different here is a typical retreat daily schedule.
